WHAT

| . |
Iwadeyama's KANKAKU (senses) MUSEUM , opend on
the 4th of August 2000,is the first of its kind in japan. The theme
of the museum is the five senses - sight, hearing, smell, taste,
and touch.
The museum's purpose is to help people to develop a feeling of comfort
and well being-something which is very difficult to do in this modern,
stressful age. The museum aims to do this stimulating people's senses.
The museum aims to do this stimulating people's senses.
The museum has two different zones; the "Dialogue
Zone" and the "Monologue Zone". The "Dialogue
Zone "is designed to allow people to experience the physical
world by close interaction with it. The "Monologue Zone "
is designed to be a place of quiet reflection and mediation. Each
zone has a large number of diverse exhibits designed to stimulate
the all five senses in a variety of different ways.
The museum also has workshops that people may join.
